An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our innovative, dynamic and forward thinking perinatal mental health community team. The service provides a range of care packages for women experiencing moderate to severe mental illness in pregnancy and up to 24 months postnatal. This includes, though is not limited to, specialist holistic assessment and tailored support, group interventions and 1:1 psychological therapies. We work closely and in collaboration with partner agencies, such as maternity, health visiting, social care and other mental health services. Being a specialist service, we also provide advice, support and teaching for professionals.
Some of our families have very complex social circumstances and this needs sensitive handling alongside the management of the mental illness and the ongoing safeguarding of mother and infant.
The successful candidate will hold a qualification as an RMN/Social Work/OT with experience of working in mental health care. They should have experience of working autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team with an ability to think strategically and demonstrate excellent time management skills. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that is committed to working in a multi-agency recovery focussed way with mums, families and wider social networks across all areas of our service.
The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country. Applicants should be aware that individuals requiring a visa to work in the UK, the Trust only provides sponsorship for registered healthcare practitioner roles(this does not include Healthcare Support Workers).
