Job description
Peri Operative Support Worker

The closing date is 28 November 2025

The core purpose of the role of Peri‑operative support worker is to support and assist the registered practitioner and Theatre team to deliver high standards of intra‑operative care to all patients. Working mainly within Robotic Theatres at Castle Hill Hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with patient care, cleaning and servicing of equipment, stock and equipment monitoring, preparation of the theatre environment, transporting patients and equipment to and from the department, clerical duties and completion of electronic records.
  • Contributing to effective communication between members of the multidisciplinary team and working directly with peri‑operative practitioners, anaesthetists and surgeons; reporting directly to Charge ODP and Matron.
