A leading educational institution in Esher is seeking an enthusiastic Performing Arts Technician to manage technical equipment and support the Performing Arts department. The role involves working with recording equipment, lighting, and sound systems for various events. The ideal candidate should possess technical experience and a passion for fostering student creativity and success. This position is term-time only, with a competitive pro-rata salary and additional benefits, including a pension scheme and gym access.
30 hours a week, 37.6 weeks (term time only) Across 4.5 days Monday-Friday with occasional evening and weekend work
Salary PS5: (£27,849 to £29,834 FTE). Starting pro-rata salary £19,415
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Performing Arts Technician to oversee and manage the technical equipment, including the iMAC ICT suite within our specialist performing arts complex. You will be responsible for the management and operation of recording equipment, lighting/sound system, sound production and audio hardware and video editing facilities. A key element of the role involves providing technical support to the Performing Arts department for lessons, weekly clubs, productions, performances and showcases. Previous technical experience in this area or similar is essential.
The Performing Arts Department is a collaborative team who are all passionate about seeing young people succeed in their subject and offer a vibrant place for students to learn and develop their creative skills. We are looking for a like‑minded individual who can add to this already thriving team. The department boasts fantastic facilities for the Performing Arts, including a fully‑equipped theatre and multi‑purpose studio spaces which act as a venue for the exciting plethora of Drama, Dance and Music performances and showcases throughout the year.
