A leading further education college is looking for an enthusiastic Drama Lecturer in Widnes for a part-time role. You will teach Level 2 Performing Arts students and guide them through acting techniques and project development. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Performing Arts and experience teaching similar age groups. This position offers a competitive rate of £30-35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of acting techniques and performance styles.

Role: Performing Arts/ Drama Lecturer
Location: Widnes
Rate: £30-35p/h
Contract: Temporary, Part-time

Eden Brown are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Drama Teacher to join the team at a leading further education college for 3 hours per week, starting 4th November until Christmas.

This role is to teach Level 2 Performing Arts Students on Tuesday afternoons #removed# with a 15 minute break.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver practical workshops, acting techniques, support devised projects, assisting with directing plays.
• Guide students through the development of devised projects, fostering creativity and individual expression.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Support students in preparing for performances, both within the classroom and through external events.

What We're Looking For

• Degree or equivalent in Performing Arts, Theatre, or a related field.
• Experience teaching Performing Arts, ideally with Level 2 students or similar age groups. A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) is desirable but not essential.
• A thorough understanding of a variety of acting techniques and performance styles.
• Ability to inspire students, fostering a collaborative and dynamic classroom environment.
• Excellent Communication Skills

A DBS is required for this role.
