We have a brand new opportunity available for a Non‑Functional Performance Tester with strong experience in data‑intensive systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating system performance, scalability, and reliability, especially in environments where large volumes of data are processed.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits across applications, networks, and data environments.
  • Design and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests for data‑driven applications.
  • Analyse system behaviour under different data volumes and user loads.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to understand data flows and identify performance bottlenecks.
  • Develop test scripts and scenarios using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
  • Monitor system metrics (CPU, memory, I/O, network) during test execution.
  • Provide detailed performance reports and recommendations for improvements.
  • Validate data integrity and consistency during performance testing.
Qualifications
  • Ensure compliance with non‑functional requirements and SLAs.
  • Solid understanding of Agile principles and Scrum methodology.
  • Proven ability to define, prioritise, and deliver high‑quality software features.
  • Proven experience in non‑functional testing, especially performance and scalability testing.
  • Strong understanding of data systems, including relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Hands‑on experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, New Relic).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for test automation.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of data profiling and analysis techniques.
  • Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
  • Background in SaaS, FinTech, HealthTech, or eCommerce.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI principles and user‑centric design.
  • Working knowledge of data privacy laws and compliance standards.
  • Experience with DevSecOps and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exposure to machine learning models and their security implications.
  • Experience with big data technologies.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of performance tests.
  • Exposure to data privacy and compliance testing.
