Qualifications

Are you ready to combine strategic vision with creative execution, driving impactful digital marketing campaigns that reach customers across borders? Now, we’re looking for a talented Performance Marketing Manager to play a key role in our growth story, delivering results in both the UK and US markets.

About the Role

This is your chance to lead Whittard’s performance marketing efforts, developing and executing data-driven strategies that aim to acquire, convert, and retain customers while growing revenue. You’ll take full ownership of key performance channels like Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, and Affiliate Marketing, ensuring every campaign is optimised for maximum impact. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, working closely with internal teams and external agencies to align acquisition and retention strategies. With a sharp commercial eye and data-informed mindset, you’ll craft campaigns that drive meaningful results, ensuring every market feels Whittard’s uniquely warm and welcoming touch.

Please note this role involves hybrid working and requires 3 days in our office – Abingdon, Oxfordshire (OX14 4SH), with 4 days during probation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead with Data: Own and manage performance marketing budgets in the UK and US, optimizing investments with a focus on CAC, CLTV, and ROAS.
  2. Execute & Optimize: Oversee campaigns across channels like Meta, Google (Search, Shopping, YouTube), TikTok, and programmatic platforms, fine-tuning for efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Regional Expertise: Tailor paid media strategies to fit market trends, seasonal opportunities, and competitive landscapes.
  4. Collaborate for Creativity: Work alongside creatives to develop engaging, market-specific ad content that reflects Whittard’s tone and ethos.
  5. Integrated Strategy: Partner with CRM, analytics, brand, and e-commerce teams to align campaigns with wider company goals.
  6. Deliver Insights: Analyze performance data and provide actionable recommendations based on comprehensive regional breakdowns.
  7. Stay Ahead: Monitor evolving regulations, privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and platform policies to ensure compliance.
  8. Agency Partnership: Manage and direct external agencies or freelancers, ensuring campaigns are executed to the highest standard.
About You

Competencies

  • Global Perspective: You adapt campaigns to regional behaviors, trends, and tastes.
  • Analytical & Tactical: You’re fluent in digital metrics, attribution models, and performance tracking.
  • Organized & Strategic: Precise in planning, you allocate budgets and optimize media with accuracy.
  • Action-Oriented: Quick to test, learn, and iterate based on real-time data.
  • Natural Collaborator: You bring people together across functions and regions to achieve shared goals.

Experience

  • Proven Expertise: 3–5 years in digital performance marketing (in-house retail preferred).
  • Channel Mastery: Experience running campaigns on Meta, Google Ads, YouTube, TikTok, and/or programmatic channels.
  • Cross-Border Skills: A history of scaling acquisition efforts in both UK and US markets.
  • Creative Localizer: Adapts content to suit varied regional audiences.
  • Tech Fluency: Hands-on experience with GA4, Meta Ads Manager, Shopify, Looker/Tableau, and Google Shopping.
