A local council in London is seeking an experienced Performance Manager to enhance its performance function in the Housing and Environment directorate. The successful candidate will focus on developing delivery insights and ensuring effective performance management. A commitment to improving residents' lives and innovative data analysis skills are essential. Salary is competitive within the range of £58,461 - £60,573 per year.
This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over‑50s age inclusive jobs board.
The Housing and Environment directorate is in a period of major change, addressing some of the biggest challenges the council faces: responding to the homelessness crisis, investing in our stock of council housing, improving how we work as a landlord, making sure the private‑rented sector treats tenants fairly and delivering sustainable transport solutions. We have cross‑cutting programmes to digitally transform our housing services and to develop our workforce. To effectively monitor and manage these major changes as well as our business‑as‑usual, we require high quality performance data, delivered within a robust performance management framework, that tracks delivery and provides insight to drive continuous improvement.
To help us meet these challenges, we are recruiting an experienced Performance Manager who will report into the Head of Strategy, Performance and Improvement as a core part of our team. We have the basics in place: regular reporting through a clearly articulated governance structure, a directorate‑level performance framework, and a developing three lines of defence model, and are seeking a talented individual to develop and drive our performance function.
You will be an experienced and innovative performance professional, with technical skills, who has made an effective contribution to the performance management of a large organisation, can communicate effectively, and build confidence and respect with all stakeholders. You will be passionate about making Ealing a better place, be able to see and appreciate things from the perspective of our residents and be able to take our performance function to the next level and make things happen.
