Performance Manager – Water Treatment Works
This is an exciting office and field-based role. As a Performance Manager you will lead a technical team that covers the front-line maintenance activities across two Water Treatment Works in the Southwest area. You will manage a team of 8 technicians and be responsible for the day-to-day operations, delivering both planned and reactive activities and responding to operational events within the geographical area while delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Lead the performance management and leadership of the team using company policies, ensuring competence through coaching and training to maximise potential.
- Implement health and safety at the centre of all activities and for the site and team.
- Identify, mitigate and resolve risks across the site and team.
- Deliver a consistent approach to asset operation and maintenance to provide a cost-efficient, robust and safe 24/7 operation.
- Understand and articulate changes within the budget during regular performance review sessions, ensuring effective budget management of H&S, compliance, people and performance.
- Deliver a safe service to the customer base by driving a culture of continuous improvement and best practice within the team.
Qualifications
- Previous experience leading a high-performing operational team and excellent people and performance management skills.
- Good business and stakeholder awareness with an innovative and creative problem-solving approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact clearly with field-based colleagues and key stakeholders.
- Strong IT literacy skills.
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
Additional skills and experience (nice to have)
- Experience working within the wastewater industry.
- Experience with SAP systems; user training will be provided.

- Salary £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
