Job summary

Network Rail in Milton Keynes is seeking a data reporting professional to join the performance analytics team. You will review inboxes, assign tasks, ensure datasets and reports are updated, and support train performance data.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with Power BI, SAP Business Objects and Excel, and the ability to work to deadlines in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of delivering high quality and data driven outputs.
  • Good time and workload management.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage customer expectations.
  • Experience of working in a regular reporting cycle with set deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI or similar reporting software and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Review the inboxes, assigning new tasks and getting progress updates on ongoing requests where relevant.
  • Where possible you will be responsible for completing requests.
  • Ensure all automated datasets and reports have updated correctly.
  • Update relevant BAU Reporting processes ensuring data is accurate.
  • These processes require working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and SAP Business Objects.
  • Review existing processes with a view to improving them and making them more efficient.
  • Support the wider team with provision of train performance data.

About the role

What does the average day look like?

You'll be part of a supportive and high-performing team that sits at the heart of Network Rail's performance function. The team brings together a mix of expertise across performance analysis, reporting and stakeholder engagement, all focused on building a clear, shared view of how the network is operating and where improvements can be made.
