Job summary

Manchester City is seeking a careful and motivated data analyst to support the Performance Services team in collecting, cleaning and interpreting data that informs athlete health and performance decisions. You will work with practitioners to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting, helping to turn insights into actionable recommendations.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field, with experience in Python/R/SQL and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline.
• Strong foundation in data-analysis and statistics.
• Experience with at least one analytics tool or language.
• Proficient in Excel for data cleaning and analysis.
• Ability to communicate findings to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, validate and analyse performance data from core systems.
• Support maintenance of athlete management systems and reports.
• Develop frameworks and methods to improve practical analysis.
• Produce clear summaries for practitioners and teams.
• Collaborate with Women's Performance Services and CFG Football Intelligence to turn data into insight.
