Lloyds Banking Group, with offices in Leeds, Edinburgh and London, seeks a commercially driven Performance & Trading Senior Manager for a 12-month fixed term contract to lead the performance of the General Insurance portfolio.

You will develop forecasts and plans, partner with Finance to maintain robust forecasts, and influence pricing, underwriting, marketing and distribution to drive growth and profitability while delivering income targets across insurance propositions.

JOB TITLE: Performance and Trading Senior Manager (Fixed Term Contract).

SALARY: £78,098pa to £109,060pa (dependent on location and experience) plus an extensive benefits package.

LOCATIONS: Leeds, Edinburgh, London.

HOURS: Full-time.

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of the above office sites. We're looking for a commercially driven Performance & Trading Senior Manager to lead the performance of our General Insurance portfolio for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract period.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving profitable growth, optimising customer outcomes and delivering income targets across our insurance propositions. Use data, insight and market intelligence to discover opportunities, mitigate risks and influence strategic decisions across pricing, underwriting, marketing, proposition and distribution. Working across internal customers and partners, you'll ensure we're making the right trading decisions, delivering against plan and maximising value for customers and the business.

What you'll be doing

• Own the trading performance of the General Insurance portfolio.
• Develop and manage quarterly and annual volume, income and profitability plans, aligned to strategic and financial objectives.
• Partner closely with Finance to maintain robust forecasts, challenge assumptions and assess delivery against plan.
• Monitor key commercial metrics including income, GWP, conversion, retention, claims performance, PATC, ATV and profitability.
• Lead weekly and monthly trading forums, identifying risks, opportunities and performance improvement actions.
• Drive interventions to ensure delivery of trading, income and growth targets.

Deliver Insight-Led Commercial Decisions

• Turn complex data into clear, actionable business insight.
• Develop performance reporting, forecasting and scenario modelling.
• Provide executive-level performance updates and recommendations.
• Evaluate commercial opportunities and investment cases.

Influence Pricing and Underwriting Strategy

• Partner with pricing teams and insurers to optimise portfolio performance.
• Assess market and competitor movements to inform trading decisions.
• Challenge assumptions and ensure actions deliver the right balance of growth and profitability.

Optimise Acquisition and Customer Growth

• Work closely with marketing, retail and digital teams to maximise customer acquisition and conversion.
• Find opportunities to improve customer journeys and remove friction.
• Support targeted activity to drive growth, retention and customer value.
• Contribute to the long-term General Insurance strategy.
• Identify opportunities for growth, innovation and proposition development.
• Support delivery of strategic initiatives and change programmes

What we're looking for?

• Strong commercial, trading and performance management experience within General Insurance, Financial Services or a related sector.
• Demonstrable experience developing business plans, forecasts and performance outcomes against financial targets.
• Proven ability to influence senior internal customers and drive business performance.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate insight into action.
• Experience working across multiple commercial levers, including pricing, marketing, product, customer journeys and partner management.
• A strategic thinker who can balance growth, profitability, risk and customer outcomes.
