Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Per Diem Physician Hospitalist for Exeter Hospital. The role requires MD or DO with board certification/eligibility, NH licensure, and a current DEA certificate.

Responsibilities include patient care across ages, charting, and supervision of MLPs, with night/weekend call shared among clinicians. The position emphasizes adherence to Core Physicians’ standards, quality and risk management, and ongoing participation in service excellence initiatives.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited medical college/university with Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
• Successful internship/residency and fellowship if applicable.
• Current board certification/eligibility in specialty.
• Unrestricted license to practice in New Hampshire.
• Current DEA certificate without restriction.
• CPR with AED within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care appropriate to the age served.
• Actively support the organization's Mission, Vision and Values.
• Complete charting, charge capture and required paperwork timely.
• Night and weekend call to be shared within the call group.
• Provide oversight for clinical services at designated locations with the practice manager.
• Provide clinical supervision to NPs, PAs or others as applicable.
• Participate in business development planning and implementation.
• Remain up-to-date with knowledge and best practices; contribute to quality initiatives.
• Fulfill specialty-specific professional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
