Job description

As a Virtual Key Account Manager for Bionical Virtual Engagement on behalf of our client you will work in a remote capacity in the liquid medicines therapy area. At Bionical Virtual Engagement we use innovative industry leading digital technology to engage with our key decision makers, with which you will need to be competent and confident.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve sales and deliver activity targets and Key Performance Indicators as set by Bionical Virtual Engagement and the Client.
  • Demonstrate cross‑functional working in Bionical and collaborate with the Client’s relevant departments such as Sales, Marketing and Medical.
  • Facilitate detailed discussions and sales interactions with Healthcare Professionals in primary care and within ICBs; support HCPS via evidence‑based resources, identifying patient cohorts with swallowing difficulties where liquid alternatives would improve patient adherence and quality of care.
  • Co‑create and maintain effective account plans to drive outcomes on a predefined customer base.
  • Establish, maintain and develop relationships with Healthcare Professionals and administrative staff in key predefined accounts, to book appointments and engage in discussions that will result in a behavioural change.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, feeding back barriers to adoption and opportunities for growth.
  • Exhibit effective communication on multiple digital platforms and converse with callers in a professional manner.
  • Deliver all interactions using appropriate material in line with Standard Operating Procedures set by Bionical and the Client, and in accordance with the ABPI code of conduct.
  • Maintain Customer Resource Management systems and Bionical measurement systems, as per minimum daily and weekly standards.
  • Respond to all Customer enquiries in a timely manner, following Standard Operating Procedures for Medical Information and Adverse Event.
  • May occasionally be required to attend face‑to‑face meetings that could involve an overnight stay.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, contributing to a positive, supportive and inclusive environment which celebrates success.
  • Act as an ambassador for Bionical Virtual Engagement and the Client at all times.
  • The above listed tasks are not exhaustive. They provide a general indication of the tasks involved. The nature of the business is such that roles are likely to expand and develop over time, with exposure to other roles and areas of the business required for the post holder to gain experience and support the business where required. All the business employees must be flexible in their work to meet business needs.
Qualifications
  • ABPI Qualification required.
  • A proven track record of sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry in either a face‑to‑face or remote selling role, preferably with exposure to liquid medicines (but not essential).
  • Demonstrates clear enthusiasm, desire and motivation for remote working.
  • Evidence of effective business planning and account management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • A strong understanding of the NHS, including structure, policy and disease management pathways relevant to promoted products.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow process diligently whilst working in a fast‑paced remote working environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including selling, influencing and presenting.
  • Strong cross‑functional working and collaboration skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, data analysis and IT skills.
  • Clear understanding of the need to deliver an enhanced experience/outcome for healthcare professionals, the patient and carer.
  • Demonstrates the core role competencies of Commercial Focus and Drive for Results, Prioritisation and Time Management, Interpersonal skills and Perseverance and Resilience.
