A leading healthcare organization in London seeks a People Partner to provide comprehensive HR advice and support managers within the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing employee relations, knowledge of employment law, and a proven ability to deliver effective HR practices. Community Hospice is a registered charity based in Abbey Wood, London providing specialist palliative care to local people and their families. We employ over 180 staff and are supported by around 500 volunteers.

Working within the People Team and reporting directly to the Head of People, the position of People Partner offers an excellent opportunity to an experienced Generalist to join the team that provides comprehensive operational People (Human Resources) advice and guidance to managers and employees within the organisation.
A member of the CIPD, with previous management and operational experience in People Services, you will be able to demonstrate up to date employment law knowledge and have an in depth experience of managing complex employee relations issues, including grievance, discipline, capability and absence management. You should be a flexible team player and be willing to share your knowledge with less experienced members of the People Team. Good knowledge and experience of HRIS would be advantageous.
A good communicator both written and verbally, you will have excellent influencing skills and be used to working with stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.

Develop highly effectiverelationships within designated areas, maintaining a real understanding oftheir challenges. Contribute fully to the development and implementation ofoperational and strategic decisions to achieve objectives contained within theHospices vision and underpinning strategy.
Responsible for advising andsupporting managers on delivering effective human resource management and forensuring that best HR practice is delivered at all times, promoting a positiveculture of inclusion and addressing conduct and performance issues in a timelyand professional manner.
To provide operational humanresources advice and guidance to managers and other employees within theHospice including responsibility for specific tasks and projects which willinclude preparation of reports and statistics.
To lead on recruitment andselection process, including advising appointing managers on currentrecruitment legislation and organisational processes and procedures.
To develop and deliver trainingand development interventions linked to identified needs.
To be responsible for ensuringall People Policies and Procedures are reflective of current legislation andorganisational culture, making proposals to policies which impact across theorganisation.

KeyResponsibilities:
EmployeeRelations
To provide effective advice, information and guidance when dealing withhighly complex employee relations cases ensuring business risk is minimised inall cases.
Actively support managers in the investigation and hearing of highlycomplex employee relations cases, advising on consistency and statutorycompliance
Act consistently as a role model and professional within the Department.
Ensure that People Service Standards are continually improved througheffective audit/review and enhancement of business relationships, customerservice, policies, systems and procedures.
Coach and influence managers to develop their peoplemanagement/leadership skills, constructively challenge inappropriate behavioursand deal with difficult and contentious issues to deliver effective outcomes
Support the review, development and update of relevant People policies,ensuring appropriate consultation and implementation mechanisms are followed.This will involve research into best practice, interpretation of legislationand national guidance and an effective communication and engagement plan forimplementation.
Contribute to the strategic planning of People projects, identifyinginterdependencies across projects/functions, potential impacts on widerorganisation, resource requirements and building in contingency and adjustmentsas necessary.
Leading meetings involving highly complex sensitive information,presenting and analysing complex information such as grievances, disciplinary,welfare issues, investigation meetings, absence management and capability.
Producing reports that are presented to all levels of the organisation.
Supporting and advising senior managers in the change management processensuring positive employee relations are maintained and providing accurate andclear employment advice to all parties.
Employment Services
To develop recruitment, retention and development strategies, managingand planning recruitment drives.
To ensure the implementation of equality, diversity and inclusion in theworkplace, providing advice and support to managers on EDI issues relating torecruitment and retention, employee relations, change management and trainingand development.
Be part of the Hospice Agenda for Change job evaluation panel, ensuringconsistency in application.
Training Management and Organisational Development
Assist with the development and maintenance of the Hospice wideworkforce planning processes to ensure the success of the organisation.
To take part in projects, to enhance the professional standing of thePeople Team and contribute to the successful achievement of the Hospicesstrategic and operational business plans.

General responsibilities
Maintenance of human resource information systems (HRIS) as necessary toensure accurate, timely and relevant management information is available.
To ensure managers are compliant with and understand all People policiesand procedures and are aware of the effects of and their responsibility inrelation to non-compliance.
To ensure continuous improvement in People services and products toenhance their value to the organisation and ensure excellent service delivery
Evaluation and audit of complex data in investigations leading to clearinvestigatory outcomes.
To support the Agenda for Change job evaluation process, includinginvolvement in matching and evaluation panels and outcomes
Ensure a customer focus within all aspects of the People service.
Working closely with the Finance Department to ensure that sicknessabsence is managed, monitored and paid in line with the Hospices sicknessabsence policy and legislation.
Monitor recruitment and retention levels within theorganisation.
To ensure that there is a robust process in place for updating andmaintaining personnel records in respect of all employees.
Any other similar duties in line with the key purpose of the job asdesignated by the Head of People.
To support the People team in analysing staff surveys, including thedevelopment of an action plan.
To be responsible for own personal development, particularly in keepingup-to-date in current employment law and good personnel practice
To implement and abide by all the Hospice policies, protocols andguidelines.
To ensure data protection and confidentiality policies are adhered to atall times.
Mobile, with the facility to travel quickly between facilities across ageographically dispersed area
