Job summary

James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd is partnering with a nationwide charity to recruit a People Partner on a 6-month fixed term contract. The role is predominantly remote with occasional site visits to London, Kent and Surrey, and pays £43,000 per annum. 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (flexible).

There is mileage/train expenses for visits. The ideal candidate will have HR business partnering experience, CIPD Level 5/7 desirable, and strong knowledge of employment law.

Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a fantastic nationwide charity who support people with mental health and substance misuse issues, who are recruiting for a People Partner on a 6-month fixed term contract. The position is due to start ASAP and is a full-time position. This role is predominantly remote with very occasional visits (all mileage/train expenses) to sites London, Kent and Surrey. The salary is £43,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with trade unions. A CIPD level 5/7 qualification is also desirable.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Supporting organisational change and transformation programmes
• Advising managers on restructures and workforce planning
• Providing ER advice on complex disciplinaries and grievances
• Assisting with trade union relations and collective consultations
• Delivering generalist HR support across a multi-site charity organisation

Experience required:

• Strong strategic HR business partnering experience

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Strong knowledge of employment law
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and advisory skills
