Job description

We are Two Circles. We are a Sports & Entertainment Marketing business. We grow audiences and revenues. We do that by knowing fans best. We work with clients to help them understand & influence what their fans are doing – the way fans spend their money, the events that fans attend, the channels fans respond to, the content fans watch and more. And we use the understanding this gives us to help our clients grow. Grow their audiences and grow their revenues - both direct to consumer and business to business revenues. Our platforms and services are trusted by over 1000 clients globally, including the English Premier League, Red Bull, UEFA, VISA, the NFL, Nike and Amazon. We are almost 1000 people, based out of 14 offices, and we deliver work for sports and entertainment businesses of all shapes and sizes all over the world.

As a People Manager, you play a central role in shaping the everyday experience of Two Circlers. You’ll be responsible for creating an environment where teammates can grow, contribute, and thrive - balancing individual support with business outcomes.

You will be a confident leader in employee relations, performance management, and training and capability development, helping ensure our approach is consistent, fair, and aligned to our values.

Key Responsibilities
People Leadership & Development
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with direct reports through regular 1:1s, open dialogue, and meaningful feedback.
  • Create clear development plans that help teammates grow skills, confidence, and impact.
  • Spot potential early and connect teammates with stretch opportunities or learning pathways.
Employee Relations (ER)
  • Act as a first point of contact for day-to-day people issues, supporting teammates with fairness, empathy, and good judgment.
  • Partner with the People Team to handle ER matters — from early interventions and performance conversations to more formal processes when required.
  • Ensure decisions are consistent, transparent, and aligned with Two Circles’ values and policies.
  • Build manager capability by modelling sound ER practices and helping others understand how to navigate people challenges.
Performance Management
  • Set clear expectations, goals, and measures of success for individuals and the team.
  • Deliver timely, direct, and supportive performance feedback — celebrating successes and addressing concerns early.
  • Lead structured performance conversations, including progression, underperformance, and behaviour-related discussions.
  • Maintain a high-performing environment with clarity, fairness, and accountability.
Training & Capability Building
  • Identify capability gaps within the team and propose training solutions.
  • Partner with the People Team to design, deliver, or embed training that strengthens core skills (e.g., client leadership, communication, wellbeing, management).
  • Reinforce learning through coaching, follow-up, and modelling best practice.
  • Help build a culture of continuous learning and curiosity.
Culture & Inclusion
  • Champion an inclusive, supportive environment where all Two Circlers feel seen, heard, and respected.
  • Model our spirit and values every day — transparency, teamwork, curiosity, and a love of sport.
  • Help create a high-trust team culture that encourages open feedback and healthy, productive conflict.
Business & Team Leadership
  • Align team priorities with business objectives and client needs.
  • Guide the team through change with clarity and reassurance.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to evolve how we develop talent and manage performance across the business.
