People Directorate (HR) Officer

Location: Oasis Academy Brightstowe, Bristol

Salary: SCP 18–22 (£31,537 – £33,699 FTE) – pro rata for term-time plus additional weeks

Contract: Term-time plus 2 weeks to be agreed with line manager

About the Role

As our newest Professional Development Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the growth and development of our staff team. You will work closely with the Principal, Senior Leadership Team and Regional PD Manager to ensure that all colleagues have access to high‑quality training and development opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate team and make a real difference to staff development and student outcomes.

What You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Coordinating and managing all aspects of staff professional development, including CPD sessions and training records.
  • Supporting the delivery of Oasis’s national PD strategy at academy level.
  • Maintaining accurate records of training and compliance requirements.
  • Liaising with external providers and internal teams to organise training events.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth across the academy.

  • Experience in coordinating training or professional development (education or public sector experience desirable).
