Job summary

Oxfordshire Mind is seeking a People and Development Manager to provide a proactive people service across the organisation. You will lead operational HR, partner with managers, and drive people plans under the Head of People.

Key duties include recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR systems reporting, and policy development, with hybrid Osney Mead working arrangements and occasional site travel.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to CIPD Level 5 or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience in an HR generalist or advisory role.
  • Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding.
  • Experience handling employee relations casework and advising managers.
  • Experience using and maintaining HR systems, including reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Job description

Salary: £39,535 - £42,549 per annum (dependent on skills, experience and knowledge)

Contract: Permanent

Base: Osney Mead with hybrid working by agreement and occasional travel between sites.

The People and Development Manager delivers a high-quality, proactive people service across the organisation. The role provides operational leadership and business partnering, supporting managers with expert advice while strengthening people practices, policies and organisational capability. The postholder leads agreed areas of the people plan and contributes to wider people strategies under the direction of the Head of People.
