People Data Analyst

Department: Operations & Data

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Head Office, Chelsea House

Reporting To: Head of People Operations and Reward

Description

As the People Data & Reward Analyst you’ll play a key role within the People Team managing the planning, implementation and ongoing support of People metrics, to deliver high quality and accurate People data. You’ll provide insights and analytical commentary to identify themes and trends, support the People Team in making the most of available data and be responsible for on‑going improvements.

You’re a natural problem solver, who is highly analytical, organised and able to work independently to effectively manage and prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Be the gatekeeper of all People information and ensure that any changes to processes, systems or data have a full impact assessment so that impact to the wider People Team and other functions are identified, communicated and action plans put in place to ensure end‑to‑end delivery.
  • Update Annual Plan and critical paths on annual and ad hoc basis – to ensure we meet relevant deadlines – weekly/monthly/annually etc – including Op Board data, pre payroll checks and audit reporting.
  • Benchmarking surveys – Alan Jones, Korn Ferry and Radford. Supporting the Reward Partner and People Partners providing benchmark data and information for roles.
  • Responsible for pay review process and owning the associated data.
  • Gender and Ethnicity Pay calculations, analysis and support in writing commentary – UK and ROI – using and understanding the legislation and checking data/assumptions with external party and People SLT.
  • Ensure data is secure, only shared when necessary and the minimal data provided for the purpose – adhering to GDPR regs.
  • Support the People Team with ad hoc reporting, (complex) data analysis and manipulation as and when required, identifying areas of improvement.
  • Seek out opportunities to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and ease of data production; automating where possible.
  • Analyse and present data and reports to the People Team, identifying errors and advising on solutions.
  • Carry out monthly data checks in advance of payroll running.
  • Cleanse Oracle reports alongside Oracle EBS Engineer, to ensure the reporting suite is up to date, accurate and users are trained.
  • Support on projects involving People data and Reward – build critical paths, to ensure the business is clear on key timescales and actions.
  • Keep up‑to‑date with changes in legislation to ensure that we remain compliant.
  • Support the scoping and implementation of any new systems e.g. T&A and HRIS systems, building and maintaining any required interface between the old and new systems.
  • Work with the wider People team where required on cross‑function projects and activity such as Pay Review, Bonus and ad hoc projects.
  • Confidently articulate information and make recommendations to People Partners, People SLT and business stakeholders.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels, to influence and persuade where appropriate.
  • Support the Reward Partner with Reward and Benefits related tasks and project.

Essential
  • Highly numerate with advanced Excel skills
  • At least 2 years of proven high‑level analytical experience
  • A keen interest in delving into the detail to deliver meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage large volumes of sometimes complex data, across a variety of systems
  • Ability to scope and build bespoke reporting including the presentation of this in various forms e.g. tables, charts and in Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Knowledge and experience of key legislation e.g. Gender Pay – ROI and U
  • Collaborative approach
  • Able to adjust communication style to suit different audience/stakeholders
Desirable
  • Working knowledge of our HR systems and metrics, including Oracle
  • Experience/knowledge of Macros
  • Power BI experience
  • Awareness and usage of ServiceNow
  • Payroll and time and attendance systems knowledge
  • Experience of upskilling others in Excel/report usage etc within the People team and wider business
  • Knowledge of HR system migration and implementation
  • Some knowledge of our HR policies and practices would be an advantage
Measures / Key Performance Indicator’s
  • Provide accurate data and reports in order to ensure the company meets deadlines for legislative changes ie Gender Pay and any compliance audits.
  • Enable the People Team to be proactive in their roles by providing data and insights to help their decision making.
  • Provide accurate and timely data to enable the People Team to meet objectives.
