This is a strategic HR role where you'll partner with senior leaders across the organisation, helping to shape people strategies, drive organisational change, and deliver innovative HR solutions that support business objectives.
As a key member of the People Services Leadership Team, you'll act as the strategic link between HR and an assigned directorate, providing expert advice and influencing decision‑making at senior level. You'll work closely with Directors and Leadership Teams to identify people priorities, implement workforce solutions, and support the delivery of long-term organisational goals.
Lead and manage a team of HR professionals, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality People Service.
We're keen to speak to HR professionals who can demonstrate:
? Proven HR Business Partnering experience within a large, complex organisation, with the ability to align people strategies to business objectives.
? Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience building trusted relationships and influencing Directors, Heads of Service and senior leaders to achieve positive organisational outcomes.
? A successful track record of leading and supporting organisational change, workforce transformation, restructures and service improvement initiatives.
? A data-driven approach, using HR metrics, workforce analytics and insights to identify trends, inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
? In‑depth knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practice and employee relations, with the confidence to provide robust and commercially sound advice.
? CIPD Level 7 qualification and/or Chartered CIPD membership (or equivalent relevant experience), alongside a commitment to continuous professional development.
? Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and support leaders in delivering effective people solutions.
? Experience working within a unionised, public sector or similarly complex environment would be advantageous.
