Overview

TOMRA Collection is on an exciting growth journey and we're looking for a structured collaborative P&O Coordinator to join our UK team. This is more than an HR role—it's your opportunity to help build and scale a dynamic organization that's transforming the way the world recycles.

As we prepare for the rollout of our Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) in the upcoming Deposit Return Scheme across the UK, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day HR operations and supporting the development of a high-performing team. At TOMRA you’ll work in a purpose-driven environment where your ideas matter, your expertise is valued, and your contribution helps create a more sustainable future.

In the early phase you’ll focus on recruitment and onboarding, ensuring compliance and implementing health & safety systems. As we grow you’ll help establish robust HR processes together with the Head of People & Organisation (P&O) to make the employee lifecycle smooth and engaging. Over time you’ll take on a full generalist HR remit covering learning & development, compensation & benefits, employee relations, health & safety, recruitment and culture initiatives—all while maintaining accurate HR systems and GDPR-compliant data.

What You'll Do
  • Be the go-to HR contact. Handle local HR queries and escalate to your direct Manager (Head of P&O UK) when needed.
  • Manage HR documentation. Prepare contracts, letters and keep policies up to date.
  • Drive a positive culture. Promote workplace practices, health & safety and organize engagement events.
  • Co-ordinate and support recruitment efforts. Work closely with our Regional Recruitment Manager to ensure effective end-to-end hiring processes in the UK.
  • Support people initiatives. Partner with managers on performance, engagement and team development.
  • Provide expert HR advice. Guide managers and employees on employee relations, compliance and legislation.
  • Deliver HR operations excellence. Maintain HR systems, reporting, salary reviews and company-wide communications.
Qualifications
  • HR Qualification: Degree or diploma in Human Resources.
  • Relevant Experience: 5 years in HR with strong generalist background; recruitment and health & safety experience is a plus.
  • Stakeholder Management Skills: Ability to build trust and influence across all levels.
  • Technical Know-How: Solid understanding of UK employment law, H&S regulations and data administration.
  • Recruitment Expertise: Skilled in managing end-to-end hiring processes or a significant part of the process.
  • Adaptable & Proactive: Comfortable working in a fast-paced evolving environment.
  • Tech-Savvy: Confident using HR systems and ensuring GDPR compliance.
Why Join TOMRA
  • Be part of a fast-growing UK business with a clear mission: Transforming the way the world recycles.
  • Play a pivotal role in preparing for the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) in 2027—a game-changer for sustainability and a cleaner environment across the UK.
  • Work in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment where your ideas matter and help shape a sustainable future through innovative recycling solutions.
  • Collaborate with passionate colleagues who value teamwork and innovation.
What We Offer
  • A chance to shape TOMRA’s UK growth story and contribute in a role with purpose.
  • Career development in a global organization committed to sustainability.
  • A competitive package including :
  • Attractive salary and bonus.
  • Comprehensive benefits: Health insurance (with family options) via Vitality.
  • Employer pension: 10% non-contributory contributions.
  • Tenure Leave: Additional leave accrual after 5 years of service.
