People Advisor 6-Month FTC (likely to go permanent)

Hybrid, 3x days onsite, 2x days from home

A rapidly growing organisation is seeking a People Advisor to join its evolving People Team. This is a hands-on and varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships across the business, supporting managers and employees, and helping to strengthen people processes during an exciting period of change.

With a new Chief People Officer recently appointed, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is motivated by the potential for a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations (approx. 35%)

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee relations queries, providing consistent, practical HR advice to managers.
  • Support front-line ER casework, including investigations, sickness absence, OH referrals, and probation reviews.
  • Assist with documentation such as meeting notes, witness statements, and records.
  • Conduct well-being and mental health check-ins with employees where appropriate.

Employee Lifecycle (approx. 25%)

  • Work closely with People Operations to maintain compliance, audits, and policy updates.
  • Collaborate with the People Partnering team to improve policies, toolkits, and employee experience initiatives.
  • Manage contract changes, probation periods, and employee exits alongside the People Operations team.

Performance & Manager Support (approx. 25%)

  • Provide guidance to managers on feedback, performance conversations, and capability management.
  • Support with probation reviews and escalate broader leadership or development cases where necessary.

HR Data, Reporting & Insights (approx. 10%)

  • Maintain and enhance use of the HR system (Bob) to drive efficiencies and improve user experience.
  • Deliver accurate people data and reporting for the wider People Team and managers.
  • Monitor absence and turnover trends, flagging areas of concern and supporting proactive solutions.

Culture, Engagement & Wellbeing (approx. 5%)

  • Champion engagement, wellbeing, and cultural initiatives locally.
  • Support the rollout of engagement activities and feedback sessions across teams.

  • Experienced HR or People professional with confidence handling a range of ER matters.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and experienced with HR systems.
  • Approachable and professional communication style, with discretion and integrity.
  • Adaptable and proactive, comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting business priorities.
  • Collaborative team player, able to support multiple locations and diverse teams.
  • Curious and growth-minded, keen to broaden experience across areas like global mobility and EU operations.
