Employee Relations Specialist Location: Manchester

About the Role

Were looking for an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our People Advisory team. In this role, youll provide expert guidance on complex employment matters, support managers in creating a leader-led culture, and ensure compliance with UK employment legislation. Youll play a key part in delivering a high-quality advisory service that enhances colleague experience and drives process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert advice on a range of employment-related matters including conduct, performance, absence management, flexible working, and Occupational Health referrals.
  • Manage ER cases effectively, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, and employment tribunals.
  • Support and coach managers, attending meetings as required.
  • Leverage Jira for workload management, ensuring timely resolution of HR tasks and meeting SLAs.
  • Assist in designing and delivering development programs for managers on performance, absence, and grievance management.
  • Identify risks, track issues through to resolution, and proactively seek process improvements with a focus on automation and manager self-service.
