We are seeking a talented Pensions Sales Consultant to join our Workplace Savings team at Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB).

Based in Birmingham / Manchester / Liverpool / Leeds / Newcastle / Shrewsbury, or Cardiff, this is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This is an exciting role for someone who has a passion for sales and to contribute to the growth and revenue of MMB. As a Workplace Savings New Business Sales Consultant, you should have a working of the pensions industry and additionally have a basic understanding of the areas of: Flexible Benefits, Healthcare, Group Risk and the Employee Benefits market.

We will count on you to:
  • Develop relationships with internal and external introducers.
  • Generate new business opportunities from your introducer network.
  • Maintain excellent sales pipeline records using the designated recording systems.
  • Sales should be generated to meet and exceed agreed targets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and manage the prospect relationship.
  • Contract with customers in line with the business’ standard processes.
  • Generate business opportunities for specialists within other areas of MMB and the wider MMC group.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that all business for which he/she is responsible meets the quality standards as required by the Company.
  • Invest time and energy in your personal development.
What you need to have:
  • Proven experience in a similar sales role.
  • Ideally qualified to a minimum of QCF2 and working toward QCF4.
  • Proven track record of new business generation.
