Job description

A role focused on delivering high‑level pensions law expertise across defined contribution, defined benefit, investment, regulatory, and restructuring matters. Responsibilities include advising trustees, corporates, and government bodies on complex pensions issues; leading on DC and DB scheme governance; supporting SSAS and SIPP providers on operational, transactional, and regulatory matters; and managing large‑scale risk‑transfer projects including buy‑ins, buy‑outs, and investment management agreements.

The role requires experience handling distressed restructurings involving major employers, advising on pensions aspects of M&A and reorganisations, and managing regulatory engagement with TPR, the FCA, and HMRC. Additional expectations include involvement in industry bodies, contribution to sector engagement, and the ability to lead on investigations, interventions, and court‑related pensions matters.
