Job summary

LCP is hiring a Data Services Actuary (Associate Consultant/Consultant) to support pension data projects in Edinburgh with hybrid working. You will work with actuarial, administration and pension risk transfer teams to deliver data-driven insights and strategy for schemes.

The role emphasizes technical data work, client-facing consulting, and developing new tools and methodologies to improve project efficiency and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary or started exams and not completed.
• Experience in a pensions actuarial consultancy with data projects.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
• Cross-functional collaboration with actuarial, administration and pension risk transfer teams.
• Excellent project management and ability to deliver within scope and budget.

Responsibilities

• Support data readiness for endgame strategies such as buy-ins and buy-outs.
• Work on large-scale benefit rectification projects like GMP equalisation and Barber window extensions.
• Undertake data cleanse projects for schemes and legacy reconstruction.
• Review data to support member communications or benefit changes.
• Advise clients on data risks and help develop scheme-level data strategies.
