Job summary

LCP in Winchester is seeking an associate consultant to join our pensions administration team. You will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day administration of defined benefit pension schemes for multiple clients and will ensure tasks in our operations guide are completed efficiently.

The role requires strong organisation, good numerical ability and close attention to detail. We offer a structured career path and a comprehensive training programme to help you grow.

Qualifications

• Educated to A level and degree level or equivalent.
• Demonstrable DB (defined benefit) pensions administration experience within a consultancy environment.
• Making good progress towards the APMI qualification.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail with the ability to manage workloads.
• The ability to work on your own but also as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Checking/reviewing work by junior team members including method, arithmetic and overall reasonableness.
• Developing awareness of procedures and ensuring they are followed when checking work.
• Discussing current issues with junior team members and flagging potential issues for clients.
• Monitoring internal news bulletins with industry and legislative updates.
• Taking ownership for and ensuring compliance matters are completed correctly and in good time.
• Developing knowledge of client rules and practices and flagging issues to client leads.
