Job summary

DAC Beachcroft LLP is seeking a Cyber Security Offensive Specialist to join our Technology team in Bristol. You will plan and execute authorised penetration tests, conduct red team exercises, and drive remediation strategies to strengthen our cyber resilience.

You will research attacker TTPs, develop custom tooling, assess cloud and enterprise environments, and report findings to stakeholders. A degree in cyber security or related field is beneficial and ongoing learning is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Hands-on penetration testing across networks, infrastructure, web apps, APIs and cloud.
• Experience planning red team or adversary simulations.
• Identifying/exploiting vulnerabilities in AD, cloud, apps and enterprise systems.
• Using offensive security tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Cobalt Strike, Nmap, BloodHound.
• Developing custom scripts/automation in Python, Java, C#, or C++.
• Ability to produce clear technical risk reports for diverse audiences.
• Experience in a corporate/enterprise setting with risk management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute authorised penetration tests across internal and external networks, systems, apps and cloud environments.
• Conduct red team exercises simulating real-world attack scenarios to test people, processes and controls.
• Research and emulate emerging threat actor tactics to keep testing aligned to current threats.
• Develop and customise scripts, tooling and exploits to support offensive security engagements.
• Assess security of cloud platforms, APIs, web apps, third-party integrations and enterprise infrastructure.
• Produce high-quality technical reports and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT, Cyber Security and business teams to prioritise remediation and strengthen controls.
• Partner with defensive security teams to improve detection and response via attack simulations.
• Contribute to security standards, policies and hardening practices informed by offensive insights.
