Job summary

Bytes Group is seeking a penetration tester within the Assurance Testing team of the Cyber Consulting department. You will conduct penetration testing across multiple environments, working under a team lead to deliver high-quality security testing and consulting services for a diverse client base.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of experience, a BSc or equivalent, and the ability to pass BPSS or HMG vetting.

Qualifications

• BSc degree or 3 years relevant experience.
• Essential: penetration testing and security consulting capabilities.
• Ability to pass BPSS or HMG vetting requirements.
• Strong customer focus and excellent communication.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-moving security landscape.

Responsibilities

• Perform penetration testing assignments across infrastructure, web apps, APIs, mobile apps, red team and cloud configurations.
• Collaborate with team leader on internal projects and service improvements.
• Work with sales to scope opportunities and create proposals for delivery.
• Manage customer engagements to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
