Job summary

Anson McCade is seeking an experienced IT/OT Penetration Tester to join a growing cybersecurity consulting team. You will perform high-quality penetration tests and security assessments across defence, energy, utilities, manufacturing, transport and telecoms.

You will identify vulnerabilities, craft remediation guidance, and produce clear reports for clients, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to tooling and training. Hybrid work: 2 days in office or on client site.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT/OT penetration testing across multiple sectors.
• Ability to identify vulnerabilities and provide remediation guidance.
• Strong reporting skills with clear, actionable findings.
• Excellent client-facing communication and presentation abilities.
• SME knowledge in OT, cloud, mobile, telecoms, defence or maritime.

The role

• Identify vulnerabilities, assess risk and provide practical remediation advice.
• Produce clear technical reports and present findings to clients.
• Work directly with clients and multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Contribute to internal tooling, training and knowledge-sharing.
• Work across varied technologies and environments, with opportunities to develop your technical specialism.
• Experience in penetration testing, ideally with an IT/OT or Operational Technology focus.
• CTM/CSTM, CTL/CSTL, OSCP, CREST/CyberScheme or equivalent recognised certifications.
• SME expertise in areas such as OT, cloud, mobile, telecoms, defence or maritime.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and client-facing ability.
• A willingness to contribute to team development, tooling and training.

Hybrid working: minimum 2 days per week in the office or on client site, depending on the engagement.
