Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Physiotherapist with pelvic health interest to join the Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team based at Frimley Park Hospital.

The role offers opportunities for 1:1 and group sessions, including some virtual clinics, supervision of staff and students, and CPD within a growing service. Ideally hours condensed over three days with possible community clinics; HCPC registered and BSc Physiotherapy essential.

  • BSc Physiotherapy, HCPC registered and up-to-date with CPD.
  • Evidence of recent and relevant study in clinical area.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist physiotherapeutic assessment and treatment for Pelvic Health patients.
  • Manage 1:1 and group sessions, including some virtual clinics.
  • Supervise and teach junior staff and students.
  • Participate in CPD and departmental activities.

Job description

Are you a physiotherapist with an interest or experience in pelvic health? Have you completed B5 rotations through a range of specialities including MSK? After establishing a Perinatal Pelvic Health Service in 2022 at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, we are looking to expand our Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team to meet growing demands. This post will be based at Frimley Park Hospital, with the possibility of community clinics within the local area. Ideally the hours would be condensed over 3 days. Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job
  • We have a growing team of experienced physiotherapists and assistant practitioners who provide an evidence-based service. Advanced Practice Physiotherapists in the team provide expert advice and support. We have a well-structured in-service training schedule and CPD opportunities.
  • There may be opportunities to supervise other staff and take on students.
  • The caseload will include 1:1 appointments and sometimes virtual and in person patient groups, to alleviate their pelvic floor dysfunction, which includes incontinence, prolapse, vulval pain and obstetric perineal tears., To provide an effective, high quality physiotherapy service to outpatients in the specialty of Pelvic Health.
  • To undertake specialist physiotherapeutic assessment, clinical diagnosis, and treatment of patient with Pelvic Health problems. These patients may have complex and/or chronic presentations.
  • To supervise and teach recently qualified physiotherapists/technicians/assistants and students and be involved in teaching MDT staff.
  • To participate in CPD and other departmental activities.
  • To provide an effective, high quality physiotherapy service to outpatients in the specialty of Pelvic Health.
  • To undertake specialist physiotherapeutic assessment, clinical diagnosis, and treatment of patient with Pelvic Health problems. These patients may have complex and/or chronic presentations.
