Job summary

Atos Group is seeking a Lead System Architect to own the Pega solution architecture and provide hands-on technical leadership to multiple development teams. You will translate complex requirements into scalable designs, defining patterns, standards, and security across end-to-end Pega implementations.

You will engage stakeholders, guide architecture governance, and mentor engineers while ensuring delivery aligns with guardrails and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pega Lead System Architect or Solution Architect on large complex programmes.
• Knowledge of Pega case management, application architecture, data modelling, and integration.
• Strong understanding of Pega guardrails, reusable architecture, and performance optimization.

Job description

The Lead System Architect (LSA) will own the overall Pega solution architecture, translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable designs, and provide hands‑on technical leadership to Pega development teams. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to ensure solutions meet architectural, security, performance, integration, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end architecture and technical design of Pega applications.
• Lead solution design across case management, workflows, data models, integrations, security, and user experience.
• Define application architecture, reusable components, enterprise design patterns, and implementation standards.
• Provide technical leadership to Pega Senior System Architects, System Architects, and development teams.
• Review solution designs and implementation approaches to ensure compliance with Pega guardrails and engineering best practices.
• Lead complex technical design decisions and resolve architecture and performance challenges.
• Design scalable integration patterns using REST APIs, services, connectors, data pages, messaging, and enterprise integration technologies.
• Define appropriate authentication, authorization, access control, and security architecture.
• Ensure solutions meet non‑functional requirements including performance, scalability, availability, resilience, security, and maintainability.
• Establish appropriate application monitoring, performance optimisation, and troubleshooting approaches.
• Define DevOps, CI/CD, branching, deployment, and release management approaches for Pega applications.
• Support production readiness, deployment planning, and technical assurance activities.
• Work closely with Business Architects, Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, Security Architects, and Integration Architects.
• Translate business requirements into appropriate Pega architecture and technical solutions.
• Lead technical workshops and communicate architecture decisions clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Mentor Pega engineers and support the development of engineering capability across delivery teams.
• Perform design and code reviews and ensure technical debt is identified and appropriately managed.
• Support estimation, delivery planning, technical risk management, and dependency management.
• Act as the Pega technical authority and escalation point throughout the delivery lifecycle. Extensive hands‑on experience designing and delivering enterprise applications using the Pega Platform.
• Strong experience working as a Pega Lead System Architect or Solution Architect on large and complex programmes.
• Deep knowledge of Pega case management, application architecture, data modelling, and integration.
• Strong understanding of Pega application design principles, guardrails, and reusable architecture.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, integration services, connectors, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience designing secure Pega solutions including authentication, authorization, and role‑based/attribute‑based access controls.
• Strong knowledge of Pega performance optimisation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Pega DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and enterprise deployment approaches.
• Experience delivering solutions within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to lead multiple Pega development teams and provide architecture governance across workstreams.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and technical leadership skills.
• Ability to explain complex architecture decisions to senior business and technology stakeholders., Certified Pega Lead System Architect (CPLSA/CLSA).

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Pega Infinity '24/'25 or later.
• Experience with Pega Constellation architecture and DX API.
