A community health organization in Nuneaton and Bedworth is seeking a Peer Support Worker to assist those in recovery by sharing personal experiences. This role requires strong communication skills and resilience, focusing on supporting individuals through their recovery journeys. Candidates should be comfortable drawing from their own lived experiences to inspire and support others. The position offers significant learning and development opportunities along with flexible working arrangements.

It is why we’re embedding lived experience roles across our mental health and learning disability services, and we’re looking for a Peer Support Worker (PSW) to join us at this exciting time.
This role is for someone with lived experience of receiving support from an Early Intervention for Psychosis service, who feels comfortable using their experiences, to show empathy and understanding to help others and to inspire hope and recovery. As this role is within a community setting, we are looking for someone who has resilience, great communication skills and is willing to utilise and share their lived experiences to support others.
In this role the appointed candidate will take on further training such as PSW training and Care Certificate. Completion of the 2-day introduction to PSW via the Recovery and wellbeing Academy is extremely advantageous prior to interview. The PSW employed will be supported by the Senior PSW to safely navigate and thrive in the role. The PSW will also work alongside teams to help engage and deliver services and promote recovery.
