Job description

To establish a supportive and respectful relationship with service users, sharing personal narratives to raise hope for change and aspirations for life. The role involves working primarily in direct engagement with service users, both one-on-one and in group settings, as agreed with the team supervisor and manager. Responsibilities include helping individuals identify their strengths, interests, and achievable recovery goals, supporting the implementation of groups, and assisting service users in developing other areas of interest.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Draw upon personal lived experience to inspire hope, model self-awareness, and facilitate service users in developing resourcefulness for managing their health and wellbeing.
  2. Facilitate access to community groups and networks to promote participation in activities, maximizing opportunities for socially valued roles and positive identity.
  3. Engage actively with colleagues and professionals to meet client needs through recovery-oriented, strengths-based practice.
  4. Attend and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
  5. Work under the supervision of the team supervisor and guidance of other professionals within the team.
  6. Participate in Trust peer training and peer working networks.
  7. Maintain awareness of the IOH model and pathways.
  8. Take responsibility for personal health and wellbeing, discussing and reviewing this in supervision as needed.
  9. Develop skills through specialist training relevant to the role, as agreed with supervisors.
  10. Ensure all duties are performed to high standards and in line with quality initiatives.
  11. Undertake additional duties as required, appropriate to the post's banding.
