University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Paediatric Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the respiratory nursing team across the UHCW and Rugby St Cross sites. The post requires excellent clinical skills, compassion and strong communication to support children, young people and families with respiratory conditions.

You will deliver patient-centred care, participate in audits and education, and work with the Paediatric Respiratory consultant and Band 7 Team

Responsabilidades

• To support/participate and deputise if required in Consultant and Nurse-led clinics working within guidelines agreed by the respiratory care team
• To develop the knowledge and skills to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for respiratory patients in secondary care and to use this understanding to improve the patient’s understanding of their condition with education, monitoring and support
• To act as an advocate for and support the patient and their carers, acting as the key worker to coordinate the multidisciplinary team
• Be aware of the key therapies available to these patients and be conversant with their usage to ensure safe and effective care
• Undertake a holistic assessment of patients’ needs across physical, emotional, social and spiritual aspects, including families and carers, and explore additional therapies
