Job summary

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a consultant to provide general radiology services with a focus on specialist paediatric imaging. The role includes contribution to the rota for daytime acute CT and MRI, and involvement in clinical governance and radiology training for SpRs.

Applicants should have FRCR or equivalent, UK registration, and the ability to lead and develop services within the department, with participation in multidisciplinary meetings and on-call duties as described.

Qualifications

• Essential: FRCR or recognised equivalent qualification.
• Essential: Degree from a recognised University.
• Essential: Clinical training and experience equivalent to UK CCST/CST.
• Essential: UK registration and ability to take full responsibility for patient care.
• Essential: Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
• Essential: Ability to apply research outcomes to clinical problems.
• Essential: Awareness of current developments and initiatives.
• Desirable: Ability to manage and lead the specialist unit.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to provision of specialist paediatric imaging services and develop services within the trust.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to maintain high standards of care.
• Supervise radiology SpRs assigned to the department.
• Contribute to equitable general (non-interventional) on-call rota; currently 1 in 16, with 0.935 PAs.
