Job summary

WWL invites applications for a Band 6 Paediatric Audiologist based at Platt Bridge Health Centre in Wigan. The role is 37.5 hours per week, with possibilities for full or part-time work and flexible patterns. It is currently advertised as maternity cover, with potential to become permanent in the future.

You will join a multidisciplinary Paediatric Audiology service, performing diagnostic tests, managing clinics, and fitting/reprogramming digital hearing aids for children, under NHS guidelines.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years Audiology experience including paediatric tests.
• Experience with paediatric hearing aid fitting and rehabilitation.
• Good knowledge of clinical governance and service development.

Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnostic testing of hearing for children and young people.
• Perform hearing aid fittings and programme using software and hardware.
• Supervise junior staff and train students on audiology courses.
• Contribute to audits, service development and change management.
• Maintain patient records and write reports to allied professionals.
