Job summary
Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Paediatric Audiologist/Paediatric Clinical Scientist to deliver specialist paediatric audiology services within a multidisciplinary Child Development team.
You will perform VRA, play audiometry, pure tone audiometry, ABR/ASSR testing when appropriate, and oversee the fitting and verification of hearing aids with REMs/RECDs, while supervising junior staff and contributing to service improvements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist paediatric audiology services as part of a multidisciplinary Child Development team.
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and management planning for paediatric patients.
- Perform Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA), play, and pure tone audiometry.
- Administer and interpret ABR and ASSR testing where appropriate.
- Oversee hearing aid assessment, fitting, verification (REMs/RECDs) and aftercare.
- Lead training and supervision of junior staff; contribute to service development and audits.
