Qualifications

• Good knowledge of upland land management practices and related challenges.
• Practical experience of producing plans and specifications for habitat restoration.
• Direct experience of peatland survey, management, and restoration techniques.
• Significant experience supervising contractors and managing projects.
• Ability to work flexible hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Support projects funded by the CNPA Peatland ACTION Grant Scheme.
• Scope, survey, and design restoration projects with compliance.
• Quality assure Peatland ACTION funded works delivered by others.

Skills

Knowledge of upland land management practices

Experience with habitat restoration schemes

Direct experience of peatland management

Botanical knowledge of upland and mire species

Supervising and managing contractors

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

Organizational and time-management skills

GIS proficiency

Ability to navigate challenging terrain
