Job summary

Philosophy Education, Ltd. is seeking a Teacher of Physical Education for a welcoming secondary school in Chatham. The role covers KS3 and KS4 with engaging practical and theoretical lessons, starting September/October 2026 on a full-time or part-time basis.

The successful candidate will promote healthy lifestyles, teamwork and personal development, delivering high-quality PE across KS3/KS4 and supporting extracurricular activities within the PE department.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching PE across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Physical Education.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Inspire students to develop a lifelong appreciation for physical activity and healthy living.
• Teach a broad range of sports and physical activities.
• Plan, assess and deliver lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
• Monitor and track student progress and attainment.
• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Encourage participation in extracurricular sports and enrichment activities.
• Support school fixtures, competitions and sporting events.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and PE department.
