Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, in line with the national curriculum.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and resilience.
• Develop students physical skills, fitness, and understanding of health and wellbeing.
• Organise and lead extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and events to promote wider participation.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help each learner reach their full potential.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and share best practice.
• Uphold high standards of behaviour and safeguarding in line with school policies.

The successful PE Teacher will have

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in Physical Education – ECTs are welcome to apply.
• Experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A proactive, energetic approach to teaching and learning.
• A genuine passion for sport, health, and student development.
