An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physical Education Teacher to join a well-established co‑educational secondary school rooted in a supportive Catholic ethos and strong academic standards.

As a Physical Education Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Physical Education at various levels, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting the growth of students through both academic and pastoral care.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to resource development and ensure materials cater to diverse student needs.
• Assist in the review and creation of schemes of work.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
• Mark and return work in a timely manner, following departmental policies.
• Attend Parents Evenings to update guardians on student performance.
• Take responsibility for a tutor group, including pastoral care and small group tutorials.
• Set and monitor academic and personal progress targets.

Qualifications

• Previously worked as a PE Teacher, Physical Education Teacher, PE Instructor, Physical Education Coach, PE Coach or in a similar role.
• Experience teaching Physical Education at GCSE, BTEC Sports, and A Level.
• Background in tutoring or pastoral roles.
• Qualified teacher with a degree in Physical Education or equivalent.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is beneficial.
• Proven track record of improving student outcomes.
