Job Description

PE Teacher

Pay Range - dependent upon experience

Required from February Half Term.

We provide top quality, high impact early years, primary and secondary education in the county of Essex. We manage two academies in the Southend-on-Sea area: Belfairs Academy and Darlinghurst School. We are responsible for approximately 2000 young people from nursery to age 19 and employ around 300 staff. Each academy is fully committed to achieving excellence for the benefit of all our students, staff and the wider community. Our motto is 'Shaping the Future Together'.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to an innovative curriculum that delivers student‑centred outcomes.
  • Teach PE classes to students aged 11‑18 with passion and enthusiasm.
  • Support a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the PE team and contribute to departmental goals.
  • Provide consistent assessment and feedback to students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified teacher with a PE teaching qualification (or equivalent).
  • Evidence of passion and expertise in supporting student‑centred outcomes.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
