Location: Hemel Hempstead
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: £34,398 - £46,839 per annum (dependent on experience)
Start Date: January 2026

A thriving secondary school in Borehamwood is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join their team from January 2026. The school offers excellent sports facilities, a collaborative staff environment, and a strong commitment to promoting healthy, active lifestyles among students.

This is a full-time, long-term position, teaching PE across Key Stages 3 and 4. It's an ideal role for someone who is passionate about sport and fitness, enjoys working with young people, and can inspire students through engaging and energetic lessons.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons to students in KS3 and KS4
  • Plan and lead a variety of sports and physical activities
  • Promote teamwork, participation, and healthy habits
  • Support extracurricular activities, including after-school clubs and sports fixtures
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student progress and behaviour
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing clear, constructive feedback
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - preferred but not essential
  • Experience teaching PE at the secondary level
  • Confident classroom management and strong communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of a variety of sports and fitness disciplines
