Job summary

GSL Education are recruiting Qualified PE Teachers and PE Instructors to work across secondary schools in Leicester. Location is Leicester and surrounding areas with opportunities for short-term, long-term, and permanent placements.

The role involves delivering PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, promoting teamwork and healthy lifestyles, and managing behaviour to ensure a safe learning environment. QTS or PE instructor background preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering PE in secondary schools.
• Strong knowledge of the secondary PE curriculum.
• DBS on Update Service or willing to apply.
• Right to work in the UK full time.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

GSL Education are currently recruiting Qualified PE Teachers and PE Instructors to work across a range of secondary schools in Leicester. We are seeking passionate, energetic, and committed professionals who can inspire young people and promote a positive attitude towards physical education, health, and wellbeing.

This is an excellent opportunity for both qualified teachers (QTS) and experienced PE instructors looking for flexible or long-term roles within supportive secondary school environments.

The Role:

• Deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum

• Promote teamwork, resilience, and healthy lifestyles

• Manage behaviour effectively and create a safe, inclusive learning environment

• Work collaboratively with department staff and wider school teams

• Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience teaching or delivering PE in secondary schools

• Strong knowledge of the secondary PE curriculum

• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Right to work in the UK full time

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

• A positive, proactive, and professional approach
