A charitable sports organization in Colchester is seeking an enthusiastic PE & Sport Mentor/Football Coach to engage with the community and schools. The successful candidate will plan and deliver impactful activities, inspiring participants. This full-time position has an expected start date of 3 November 2025 and requires a commitment to high standards and a strong work ethic.

CUCF provides high quality Participation, Health & Inclusion, and Education Programmes to 10,000 children, young people, and adults from across the region each week.
CUCF are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, and committed PE & Sport Mentor/Football Coach with high standards and strong work ethic on a full-time basis (32-40 hours per week).
This role within our Community Team will include the delivery of projects across the organisation, contributing to the impact our Education, Participation and Health & Inclusion programmes make daily across the local community.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and reviewing the delivery within community, football/sport, and school environments, adopting our delivery methodology and national curriculum schemes of work.
This position is based out of The Shrub End Community & Sports Centre, Colchester, CO2 9BG, with delivery within schools and community facilities across North Essex.
Plan, deliver, and review activities across community, football/sport, and school settings; adopt CUCF delivery methodology and national curriculum schemes of work.
Contribute to the delivery of Education, Participation and Health & Inclusion programmes and support positive outcomes for participants, families, and communities.
Inspire and motivate participants on and off the pitch and playgrounds; work with colleagues and partner organisations to achieve impact.
Tenacity and creativity to overcome obstacles and challenges in sport and community environments; strong work ethic and high standards.
Ability to work across different settings, including community spaces and schools, and to engage participants effectively.
