Job summary

Priestlands School is seeking a PE based Cover Supervisor to start in January, term-time only. The role offers experience within the PE team and in general classrooms, with induction and training provided.

You will support learning when the usual teacher is unavailable, maintain firm but fair discipline, and help pupils access work during lessons. The post suits someone sporty and comfortable around young people.

Qualifications

• Experience with young people in a similar role would be an advantage but induction and training will be provided.
• Role requires a sporty approach and comfort around young people.
• Post is 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time) with pay spread over 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Support learning in PE and general classroom settings when the regular teacher is unavailable.
• Maintain a firm but fair disciplinary approach and a non-confrontational attitude.
• Utilise induction and training provided to support students effectively.
