Edwards Ltd. in Bristol, UK, is seeking a PDM Technician SAP SME to provide SAP SME support for product data, BOMs for full systems and spares, and lead data integrity efforts.

The role focuses on SAP expertise, BOM structures, and cross-functional data issue resolution, reporting to the PDM Team Lead, with on-site work as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Provide SAP SME for creation and maintenance of product data including BOMs.
• Lead investigations of cross-functional data issues and present practical solutions.
• Develop, implement and improve PDM standards and procedures.
• Support local SAP process improvements and coordinate with Global SAP Team.
• Train and introduce SAP to new starters in Engineering functions.
• Create, maintain, and convert Bills of Materials.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure BOM rules are understood and revision controlled.

Job description

As a PDM Technician SAP SME, your mission is to role provide SAP subject matter expertise for the creation and maintenance of product data, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) for full systems, buildable assemblies and spares. The role requires strong knowledge of routings, documentation, and assembly structures, and takes the lead in investigating cross-functional data issues, identifying root causes and presenting practical solutions. You will report to the PDM Team Lead.

You will

• Bethe PDM SAP SME (Subject Matter Expert) looking to resolve internal and external team queries.
• Develops, implements and continuously improves PDM standards and procedures
• Come up with and support local SAP Process Improvements
• Liase with the Atlas Copco Global SAP Team in support of finding solutions to complex SAP queries/projects.
• Train and introduce SAP to new starters in the Engineering functions.
• Creation maintenance, and conversion of Bills of Materials.
• Work closely with a variety of departments to ensure the rules for structuring BOMs for a product are understood, recorded, and revision controlled.
