Job summary

Boots UK is seeking a Healthcare Logistics Driver to deliver medicines to care homes, patients at home, GP surgeries and Boots stores within an allocated route. You will use a Boots-provided vehicle with pre-planned routing and handheld navigation, while upholding safety and high-quality customer care.

Hours are Monday to Saturday, with shifts across AM/PM/evenings and weekends; basic hours 25 per week. DBS check required after offer; full training provided.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year's driving experience.
• Able to read and interpret delivery routes and instructions.
• Enjoy following process and working at pace to achieve service levels.
• Physical stamina and capability to work in a manually demanding role with heavy lifting.
• Comfortable using new technology.

Job description

The hourly rate for this role is £13.12. Joining us as a Boots Healthcare Logistics Driver (HLD) is a great opportunity. You'll deliver first class care to those in the community who might otherwise never visit a Boots store. You'll be part of a unique service that prioritises the patient behind the parcel; this really is a role that offers so much more than other delivery roles.

About the role

You will report into the Healthcare Logistics Manager and your role will be to provide outstanding customer care by delivering and collecting medicines from Care Homes, patients at home, GP surgeries and other Boots stores within an allocated route time. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries whilst following safety protocols. You'll be provided with a vehicle that is maintained by Boots with all the training and equipment that you will need to work safely, including a handheld device that provides pre-planned routing and satellite navigation.

Additional Information

Boots is a Ban the Box employer and will consider the suitability of applicants with criminal convictions on a case‑by‑case basis. This role requires the successful candidate to complete a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) after receiving an offer.

Working Hours & Shifts

Your basic hours will be 25 per week, and your days of work will be Monday to Saturday. You will cover AM, PM, Evenings, Weekend shifts and your normal start and finish times will be 08:45-20:30. You will be on-call for a further two shifts per week as a minimum, to cover extra deliveries as needed by our customers.

• We can only consider candidates who are over 18 due to age restrictions for this role.
• To be eligible for this role, you must hold a full, valid UK drivers licence.
