Job summary

Academics is seeking a PDA Specialist Tutor in Birchington to provide flexible 1:1 tuition tailored to the student’s needs. You will employ PDA-informed, low-demand, relationship-led strategies to engage and support the learner.

The role centers on building trust, adapting lessons creatively, and supporting emotional wellbeing and educational progress, while collaborating with parents and other professionals as needed.

• SEN Teachers and SEN Tutors
• Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants / HLTA
• Education professionals with PDA experience
• Professionals with experience supporting autism, ADHD, anxiety or EBSA
• Patient, creative, adaptable and relationship-focused, with a passion for helping young people succeed

• Deliver bespoke 1:1 tuition based around the student's individual needs and interests.

Role: PDA Specialist Tutor

Hours: Flexible / 1:1 Tuition

Are you an experienced teacher, tutor or SEN professional with a strong understanding of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)?

Do you have the patience, creativity and flexibility to engage a young person who may find traditional education challenging?

Academics are looking for a PDA Specialist Tutor to provide tailored, engaging 1:1 tuition and help a young person re-engage with learning in a way that works for them.

The Role

As a PDA Specialist Tutor, you will:
